AX18

AX18 is an active subwoofer positioned at the touring level, featuring a built-in professional DSP processor.
The speaker unit of the product is equipped with a 18″ neodymium iron boron magnet woofer with a 4″(100mm) voice coil. It adopts a phase-inverting cabinet structure. The speaker box is very compact, with a width of only 63.5cm and a weight of only 41.5kg.
The front protective steel mesh of the box body is equipped with an exclusive shock-absorbing phase plate structure, which can also eliminate the vibration noise of the steel mesh. The box body is made of high-density pure birch multi-layer plywood, which is processed by CNC cutting and further reinforced with screws. The surface of the box body is sprayed with thick matte polyurea coating, which has excellent hardness and possesses outstanding waterproof, sunscreen, and wear-resistant properties.
To achieve heart-shaped radiation, the array is designed to be supported in both the front and back directions for hanging or stacking. The height of the box is only 50cm, and even with three stacked, it is only 1.5m tall.

Features

  • The product adopts a four-point hanging structure, which can be directly attached to AX12 with the AX12-FSA adapter frame.
  • The accompanying active drive module consists of a newly developed 1300W+400W digital amplifier and a 24Bit/96kHz sampling specification DSP digital signal processor. The DSP processor has a built-in FIR module, which can further correct the phase to achieve optimal superposition performance. The amplifier panel is fully sealed with no openings, and all external interfaces use IP65-rated components, allowing outdoor use without the need for additional rain covers. The device comes with four factory preset scene modes, which can be switched with a single touch on the panel buttons, eliminating the need for external computer debugging.
  • Advanced control can be paired with wireless router networking, relying on TCP/IP LAN to achieve online debugging. Each speaker is equipped with an online indicator light on the front, allowing the software to call devices that are being controlled.
  • The product design is specifically tailored to supplement ultra-low frequency energy for AX12. The drive module features a dedicated 400W output channel, allowing it to be combined with other passive full-range speakers to form a standalone active sound reinforcement system.
